Anu designed, created and directed the Haath se Haath Milaa music video, which was the most ambitious attempt ever, to raise HIV/AIDS awareness among the nation’s youth, Anu persuaded 50 of India’s top film stars and creative talent to do it pro-bono!

 

The album Haath Se Haath Milaa (HSHM) is a spectacularly “goose-bumpy” track, with evocative lyrics written by Javed Akhtar, music composed byShankar, Ehsaan and Loy, and soulfully sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. Shot on film, this sensational and ambitious music video features over 50 film stars and 10 top television stars.

 

The video features John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Dia Mirza, Raveena Tandon, Waheeda Rehman, Jackie Shroff, Naseerudin Shah, Tabu, Lara Dutta, Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan, Loy, Neha Dhupia, Ayesha Takia, Malaika Arora Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Amrita Arora, Dino Morea, Raima Sen, Riya Sen, Kunal Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Isha Koppikar, Yana Gupta, Aftab Shivdasani, Nagesh Kukunoor, Kay Kay Menon, Sandhya Mridul, Suchitra Pillai, Lilette Dubey, Smriti Irani, Saakshi Tanwar, Mona Singh, Pooja Bedi, Nikki Aneja, Mini Mathur, Simone Singh and others.

 

India’s leading choreographer, Shiamak Davar, brought sparkle to the video, and Director of Photography, Amit Roy, got his expertise to the project. Noted fashion designer, Hemant Trevedi for Sheetal, provided his couture clothing for the music video stars. Exclusive HSHM T-Shirts were designed by star fashion designer Rohit Bal for the chorus stars.

 

The album, produced by Music Today, comprises of an 8-song soundtrack and a VCD that features the music video along with a bonus ‘Behind the Scenes’ feature. The video was released theatrically nationwide, with support from PVR Cinemas, and played in selected theatres for 3 months, reaching out to millions of people, every day.
